Wednesday (5/17) Beautiful: The Carol King Musical - Don’t miss this fascinating show about one of pop music’s greatest performers and songwriters. The show begins when she composes her first hit song, “Will You Love Me Tomorrow,” in 1959 and ends with Tapestry, a deeply personal collection of songs that becomes one of the best-selling albums. Tickets start at $35 and the show runs through Sunday (5/21) at the Kentucky Center.

Thursday (5/18) Mayday Parade - Mayday Parade, American pop punk band from Tallahassee, Florida, will be at Mercury Ballroom this Thursday! We’re guessing they’ll perform favorites like Stay and Letting Go, so the romance level will be high. Congrats to our ticket winner! Didn’t win tickets? You can still snag some to this sweet show. Tickets start at $25 and show starts at 7:30 pm.

Thursday (5/18) Rye Back Porch SessionsRye on Market is kicking off their first Back Porch Session of the season on you guessed it, the back porch. Grab a friend, a drink, and enjoy live music in NuLu. This month’s featured artists are Brooks Ritter and the Lower Lights and DJ John Browning. FREE and open to the public. Music starts at 7 PM.

Friday (5/19) A Taste of Main Street - Main Street has got it going on, seriously. There are a ton of great restaurants, museums, and events! To celebrate all things main street, the Main Street Association is giving you a “taste” this Friday at Actors Theatre. Food, Drinks, Live Music and more for only $35 per tickets. PLUS you can enter to win pair of tickets to 2018 Humana Festival at the event.

Saturday (5/20) Forest Fest ’17 - Why not spend your Saturday in the forest with friends, food and great music? This full day festival kicks off at 10:30 AM at Jefferson Memorial Forest and wraps up at 7 PM. Musicians include Leyla McCalla Trio — Flatt Lonesome — Mipso — The Wooks — Jon Stickley Trio — The Misty Mountain String Band. Also enjoy local food, local craft vendors, workshops and more! Event is FREE, parking is $10.

Sunday (5/21) Buy Local Fair - Help Keep Louisville Weird and celebrate all things local at the 9th Annual Buy Local Fair at the Louisville Water Tower from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Over 200 local vendors, live entertainment, cooking competition, craft beer and bourbon, and a rockin’ kids zone. Free and open to the public. $5 parking.

Tuesday (5/23) Mumford and Sons - Everyone loves Mumford and Sons right?!? They always put on a fantastic high energy show. Good news folks! They are coming to KFC Yum! Center next Tuesday and not only are tickets still available, but you could win a pair here -> new2lou.do502.comTickets start at $35 and show starts at 7 PM. We’ll see you there.

Friday (5/26) - Sun (5/28) Kentucky Reggae Festival - Kick off Memorial Day Weekend with the flavor of the islands at the Kentucky Reggae Festival at Louisville Water Tower Park. Enjoy live reggae music, ethnic food and a vendor market arts, crafts, jewelry, beads and more. Daily tickets are $17, $25 for a 2-day pass and $30 for a 3-day pass. Kids 10 and under free.
