Wednesday (5/31) WFPK Waterfront Wednesday - FREE summer concerts presented by WFPK and Waterfront Development Corporation on the last Wednesday of every month at the Big Four Bridge at Louisville Waterfront Park. Featured artists this month: The MavericksHollis Brown, and Peter Searcy. Music starts at 6:00 pm. Free and open to the public.

Thursday (6/1) Twilight Thursday - When you live in the land of fast horses, happy hours are a little nontraditional, in a very good way. Churchill Downs is hosting the best happy hour in town this Thursday night! Grab a drink and enjoy live thoroughbred racing from 5:00 - 8:30 PM. Tickets start at $3. THIS is how we do happy hours in Kentucky.

Friday (6/2) Old Crow Medicine Show Performs Blonde on Blonde - Outdoor concert season continues at Iroquois Amphitheater this Friday night with Old Crow Medicine Show, American string band based in Nashville. Doors open at 6:30 PM, show starts at 8:00 PM. Tickets are still available and start at $39.50. Seating is first come, first serve so plan to get there early to snag a good seat.

Saturday (6/3) “I Am Ali” Festival - Muhammad Ali sadly is no longer with us, but his energy and spirit still lives on. The “I Am Ali” festival kicks off on the one-year anniversary of Ali’s passing and will highlight his “Six Core Principles”—Confidence, Conviction, Dedication, Respect, Giving, and Spirituality– with six weeks of programming and community events. Saturday (6/3) Global Louisville - What’s Global Louisville? A celebration of diversity and community! Join Americana for this FREE festival this Saturday at the Iroquois Amphitheater from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Enjoy a full day of live music, international food, buy local marketplace, community corner featuring unique attractions, and free family friendly activities.

Saturday (6/3) - Sunday (6/4) Butchertown Art Fair - Butchertown Art Fair is back again and bigger and better than ever! This art fair is one of the longest running art fairs in one of the most historic neighborhoods in the city. Two full days of fun, with over 80 art and craft vendors, kid’s activities, and food trucks. FREE and open to the public.

Sunday (6/4) Louisville Bats - It’s baseball season folks! And lucky us, we are not only home to THE Louisville Slugger (the world-famous bat), but also home to the Louisville Bats (our semi-pro baseball team). Grab a friend and cheer on the home team at Louisville Slugger Field! Game starts at 6:05 pm and tickets start at $10.

Saturday (6/10) Totally Tubular Tube-A-Thon - Nothing says summer more than a good tube down the river. To celebrate the summer weather, Kentucky for Kentucky is hosting an epic Tube-A-Thon next Saturday. Plan to meet at 1 PM at the Still Waters Campground near Frankfort (approximately 1 hour East of Louisville) and tube down the beautiful Elkhorn River. No tube? No problem. You can rent one when you register.

Wednesday (6/14) New2Lou June Social at HopCat - Ready to meet some new folks and try a new place? Of course you are! Mark your calendars for our June social at the new brewery HopCat in the Highlands. They’ll be serving up great beers and we’ll be serving up cool new folks. Be there. Party starts at 5:30 PM. Event is FREE w/ RSVP, but space is limited so get on it.

Friday (6/16) Future Islands - Early notice, but we certainly don’t want you to miss this show. Future Islands, an American synthpop band based in Baltimore, are coming to Mercury Ballroom this Monday and we’ve got the hookup!
