Wednesday (7/4) July 4th Festivities – There are a lot of great options to celebrate the 4th of July and it looks like the weather forecast will be great! Our top picks –> head downtown to the Louisville Waterfront Fourth 2018 at Louisville Waterfront Park, head to Crescent Hill for some good old fashioned fun at Crescent Hill 4th of July Festival, or catch the river cruise on the Belle of Louisville.

Thursday (7/5) Cocktails & Conversation: A Forecastle Foundation Concert Series – Join Forecastle Foundation for the launch of their brand new concert series, Cocktails & Conservation, with Wax Fang’s Scott Carney + special guests this Thursday at LolaTickets: GA $35, Early Bird Entry $45 – includes Four Roses Bourbon Tasting. Proceeds benefit the Forecastle Foundation. Doors: 7:00 PM, Early Bird Entry: 6:00 PM. Music: 8:00 PM.

Friday (7/6) Star Wars: The Last Jedi – Not much better than a Friday night movie under the stars (and a pretty awesome date option too). Head to Iroquois Amphitheater  to watch Star Wars: The Last Jedi this Friday. Doors open at 7:00 pm, movie starts at 8:30 pm. FREE and open to the public. Seating first come, first serve. Also mark your calendars for Big Hero 6 on Monday, July 9th.

Saturday (7/7) Louisville Palace Summer Movie Series – The Louisville Palace is kicking off their Summer Movie Series this Sunday with The Maltese Falcon, 1941 classic starring Humphrey Bogart and Mary Astor. Doors open at 7:00 PM, movie starts at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $8. Join us at our New2Lou July Social for a chance to win a pair of tickets for the series and mark your calendars for the next movie on radar, Yankie Doodle Dandy (1942) on Friday, July 13th.

Sunday (7/8) Drag Brunch at Le Moo – Sunday brunch just got a little spicier. Grab your friends and head to Le Moo this Sunday for Drag Brunch! Pricing is $35 plus tax and gratuity (includes brunch buffet & entertainment), plus a meet & greet with the queens after the show. Tuesday (7/10) KMAC Poetry Slam – Ever been to a Poetry Slam? Now’s your chance to check out one of the fastest growing trends in the artist community. KMAC Museum, located in Downtown Lou (715 West Main Street), is hosting a  is a unique poetry experience next Tuesday evening. Tickets are $7.00 for those slamming, FREE for those attending. Event starts at 7:00 PM.

Wednesday (7/11) New2Lou July Social – Mark your calendars for our July social next Wednesday (7/11)! We’ll be heading downtown to a smokey hot spot, Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse in Fourth Street Live! . They’ll be serving up spicy cocktails & smokey BBQ. We’ll be serving up cool new folks. You definitely don’t want to miss it. Party starts at 5:30 pm. Event  is FREE w/ RSVP.

Wednesday (7/18) New2Bourbon: Willett – After much anticipation and many requests, we’re bringing back our popular bourbon series! Our first event in the series kicks off with Willett Distillery at Quills Firehouse in NuLu. We’ll have Willett porch cocktails, Quills coffee cocktails & Bourbon WomenTickets are $10 in advance, $20 at the door. BUT space is limited, so get on it ASAP. You don’t want to miss out, trust us.
