Wednesday (3/7) Tape Face – Up for a fun night of comedy tonight? Tape Face, famous mime act from Season 11 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, is performing live at Mercury Ballroom this Wednesday, March 7th. Doors open at 7:00 PM, show starts at 8:00 PM. Thursday (3/8) International Women’s Day Luncheon – Join Speed Art Museum as they honor groundbreaking women with a special luncheon on International Women’s Day! Tickets are $100 and include a catered lunch by Wiltshire at The Speed and a private Curator-led tours of Women Artists in the Age of Impressionism at 11:00 am and 1:30 pm.
Friday (3/9) Heine Brothers-Omni Louisville Grand Opening – The new Omni Hotel is finally opening and they have a sweet Heine Brothers inside the Falls City Market – urban market and food hall. The grand opening is from 6:00 am – 8:00 pm, but plan to get there early to snag an exclusive reusable mug filled with special offers. Ribbon cutting ceremony is at 9:00 am.
Saturday (3/10) St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2018 – So in Louisville, we start celebrating St. Patrick’s Day a little early, but we’re not complaining. The annual Ancient Order of the Hibernian‘s St Patrick’s Parade is this Saturday and runs through the Highlands along the Baxter and Bardstown corridor. This year’s theme is “Shamrock and Roll”. Parade starts at 3 pm and festivities continue throughout the evening. Free and open to the public.
Saturday (3/10) Ben Sollee and Kentucky Native + Martha Redbone Trio – Ben Sollee is a Kentucky-born cellist and composer who performs at locations around the world. Lucky for us, he’ll be at the Kentucky Center this Saturday with the Martha Redbone Trio. If you’ve seen him before, you know it’s not to be missed. For those that haven’t, you’re in for a treat. Tickets start at $25. Show starts at 8:00 pm.
Sunday (3/11) Nom-Aste: Yoga + Brunch – Join Stephanie Kersting and Kentucky Yoga Initiative for a perfect start to your Sunday: yoga + brunch! The power yoga class will take place from 10 – 11 am in the upstairs area of Lox. Tickets are $10 plus you get a 10% discount on bagels and bubbly. All donations go to the Kentucky Yoga Initiative. Tuesday (3/13) – Sunday (3/18) School of Rock – Ready to rock?!? Head to the Kentucky Center next week to catch this hilarious new musical! School of Rock is based on the hit film staring a wannabe rock star posing as a substitute teacher who turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. Tickets start at $37. Both evening and matinée options are available.
Wednesday (3/14) New2Lou Social at Goodwood – Mark your calendars for our March social at Goodwood Brewing Co, a super cool production brewery located in the heart of downtown Louisville – 636 E Main Street.
