It’s Forecastle week, y’all. Our city will be filled with top musicians, festival foodies, music junkies, and hungover hipsters. You name it, they’ll all be here in celebration of our locally grown, nationally recognized Forecastle Festival. Never been to Forecastle, prepare to have your mind blown. Speaking of preparation, we’ll be posting up tips from seasoned attendees to help you navigate the festival with breeze, so stay tuned.

Wednesday (7/16) Art21 Film Screening + Curator’s Tours - Grab a bourbon from Proof on Main, tour the new roving exhibit at 21c Museum Hotel, and catch a special screening of a few Art21 short films and short films from the 21c Collection. Not a bad way to spend a Wednesday night, right? And it’s FREE!
Thursday (7/17) Louisville Bucket List - We’re teaming up with Yelp Louisville to bring you the Louisville Bucket List, Derby City must dos for those both new and old 2 Lou. Next on the List: Act like a kid at the Kentucky Science Center! Food, drinks, and watch the Hollywood classic “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark” on the four-story digital theater! Thursday (7/17) Official Forecastle Kick-Off Party - Forecastle and Against the Grain Brewery are hosting the official Forecastle Kick-Off Party to kickstart Forecastle weekend! Local eats, treats, drinks, and live music. Plus all GA & VIP weekend pass holders can pick up their wristbands in advance from 5pm to 7pm!
Friday (7/18) - Sunday (7/20) Forecastle Festival - Three-day music, art, and environmental activism festival right here in our own backyard. Big names this year: Outkast, Jack White, Beck, Band of Horses, and more! Tickets still available. We’ll be posting more on Forecastle later this week, stay tuned. And don’t forget to stop by the Forecastle Foundation section. Awesome folks, awesome mission.
Saturday (7/19) Official Forecastle Late Night Show with Moon Taxi - Want to keep the party going? Why not catch the official Forecastle Late Night Show at Mercury Ballroom! Moon Taxi will be rockin in out late into the evening. Show starts at 11:59 pm and tickets are still available!

Wednesday (7/23) Louisville Pitch Competition - Want to meet the who’s who of the local startup scene? EnterpriseCorp, the entrepreneurial arm of Greater Louisville Inc (GLI), will be hosting a regional pitch competition next Wednesday. Four local startups will compete for bragging rights and $1000. Free and open to the public. RSVP here.
Saturday (7/26) B.B.FLEA - The fine folks of Flea Off Market are taking the show on the road…to St. Matthews! Mark your calendars for the inaugural B.B.Flea next Saturday from 12-8pm in the parking lot of Bluegrass Brewing Company. There will be dozens of vendors, bluegrass music, tasty beers, delicious foods, overall good times!
