Thursday (5/11) Twilight Thursday - The Kentucky Derby is over, but that doesn’t mean the excitement has to end. Churchill Downs is keeping the party going this week by kicking off their Thursday night racing this Thursday! Tickets start at $3. Enjoy live thoroughbred racing from 5:00 - 8:30 PM PLUS drink specials and food trucks. THIS is how we do happy hours in Kentucky.
Friday (5/12) Foxhollow Farm Sunset Concert Series - Foxhollow Farm is kicking off their Sunset Concert Series this Friday with Milenio and Freedom Moore. The series runs every second Friday, from May to September. Savory and sweet treats will be available to purchase from local restaurants and food trucks, along with craft beer and cocktails. Show starts at 6 pm. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. BYO blankets and chairs.
Friday (5/12) Shovels & Rope - It’s officially outdoor concert season folks! To celebrate, Iroquois Amphitheater is kicking of the season with Shovels & Rope, American folk duo from Charleston, South Carolina, this Friday night! Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 8:30 pm. Seating is first come, first serve. Tickets are still available and are $27.50 in advance, $30.00 Day of Show.
Friday (5/12) - Saturday (5/13) Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man - This romantic comedy takes the audience on a hilarious and wild ride where no topic is taboo and the insider ‘tips’ come straight from the source: a gay man. Don’t miss this hilarious show at the Kentucky Center this weekend. Tickets start at $30 and show starts at 8:00 pm on both Friday and Saturday night.
Saturday (5/13) Fleatiques - You know we’re the curators of all things new, right?!? Well let us introduce you to Louisville’s newest outdoor market. Food trucks and local vendors will be on the front lawn of Mellwood Arts Center. The series continues on the 2nd weekend of every month through October and a portion of the sales will support a different local non-profit each month, win-win.
Sunday (5/14) Mother’s Day - Mother’s Day is this weekend, so you best start planning. Thankfully Do502 has a round-up of ways to treat her right PLUS noms in Louisville perfect for Mother’s Day.
