in-lighteningThursday (2/5) Mayor’s Music and Art Series - free monthly series showcasing local musicians, artists and performers at Mayor’s Gallery at historic Louisville Metro Hall.  This month will showcase In Lightning.  Event is free and open to the public.  Bring your lunch and enjoy live music during your lunch hour.

2015-Jewish-Film-Festival-LogoThursday (2/5) - Sunday (2/22) Louisville Jewish Film Festival - The Festival kicks off this year with Run Boy Run on Thursday (2/5). The festival runs through Sunday (2/22) and the full lineup and schedule of films is located on their website. Tickets are $8.50 in advance, $10 at the door.

First-Friday-Trolley-Hop2Friday (2/6) First Friday Trolley Hop - free event on the first Friday of every month at the shops, restaurants and galleries in historic West Main district and trendy NuLu District from 5-11 pm. And while your out and about, make sure to check out Friday Night Flights and Louisville Loves Sou4th!

VaVaValentineFriday (2/6) - Saturday (2/21) Va Va Vixens Valentine - The Va Va Vixens are heating things up again for Valentine’s season! There will be dance, acrobatics, aerial acts, striptease and singing. SO much more than your average burlesque show. Tickets are $20 in advance.

MidWesternSaturday (2/7) Murals, Eastern Midwestern, Toy Tiger - Catch the Murals, Eastern Midwestern and Toy Tiger at local fav music venue Zanzabar this Saturday. Enjoy a fun evening filled with jammin indie rock for only $7! Doors open at 8 pm and show starts at 9 pm. Show 21+.

MySpecialValentineSunday (2/8) My Special Valentine Workshop - Create a special valentine for your special Valentine! Participants will be guided through the process of creating their own hand printed valentines AND envelopes. moth stories toldTuesday (2/10) Moth StorySlam - Are you a great story-teller? Why not show off your skills next Tuesday at Headliners Music Hall.  Place your name in the hat between 6 and 8 pm, storytellers randomly are selected to present and audience judges will decide your fate. This month’s theme is LOVE HURTS. Tickets are $8.

WesFestSaturday (3/7) Wes Fest - Super early notice, but tickets go on sale this Friday (2/6) and we don’t want you to miss out. Last year this event sold out and the New2Lou crew won the group prize for our rockin Life Aquatic costumes, so you know we’ll be bringing it!
