Not only will you be tasting the finest cocktails in town, but you’ll be one of the first to test out FirstBuild’s brand new nugget ice maker, win-win. RSVP required. Suggested donation $10 (bring cash please); proceeds to benefit local non-profit Apron.

IAmPotentialThursday (7/10) I Am Potential Film Premiere - Watch local celeb Patrick Henry Hughes on the big screen at the film premiere of I Am Potential. The film is based on his amazing true story overcoming incredibly rare conditions to become a valued member of the U of L marching band. The film starts at 7:30 pm and tickets are $15.

FoxhollowFarmConcertFriday (7/10) Foxhollow Farm Sunset Concert Series - Catch Louisville natives on the rise and their pop americana sound at Foxhollow Farm this Friday evening. Howell Dawdy will kick off the evening and A Lion Named Roar will headline. Show starts at 6 pm. Tickets are $10. Food, drinks and sweet treats available for purchase. BYO blankets and chairs.

BeetlejuiceFriday (7/10) Beetlejuice - Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice. Thanks to the Louisville Film Society and the Kentucky Center for Performing Arts, you can watch this classic comedy under the stars (at the Belvedere) for FREE! Film will start at sunset (approx 9 pm). BYO blanket and BFF. Full bar and concession stand with drinks and snacks available for purchase.

Poorcastle2015Friday (7/10) - Sunday (7/12) Poorcastle 2015 - Three full days filled with great local music. What’s with the name? Forecastle Festival is next weekend and the tickets are a little pricy, so a few local folks decided to host Poorcastle Festival for the “rest of us”. Daily tickets are only $5 and door open at 2 pm. Full Lineup and schedule on the website.

BluesBrewsBBQFestivalFriday (7/10) - Sunday (7/12) Louisville Blues, Brews & BBQ - Nothing goes better with blues music than some smokin’ hot barbecue! Catch the tunes of New Orleans and Memphis while you eat with your hands at Four Roses Bourbon Louisville Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival. Tickets are $12 before 6 pm, $16 after 6 pm. A 3-Day pass is $30. BYO chairs and blankets.

PaddleForHungerSaturday (7/11) Paddle for Hunger - fun-filled day of team building and competition as teams of ten race voyager canoes on the Ohio River. Proceeds benefit Dare to Care Food Bank. Canoe race participation starts at $2,500 for a team of ten. Don’t have a team, no problem. You can watch the fun for FREE!

LOUISVILLE CITY FCSaturday (7/11) Louisville City FC - GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLL! Cheer on our hometown football club against the Charlotte Independence this Saturday night. Game is located at Slugger Stadium and kicks off at 7:30 pm. Tickets start at $15 and we’re got a sweet discount for you. MonsterHouseMonday (7/13) Monday Night Movies: Monster House - It’s Monday, so you know what that means….summer movie night at Iroquois Amphitheater! Featured movie this week is the 2006 computer-animated fantasy comedy, Monster House!  Doors open at 7 pm, movie starts at 8 pm. FREE and open to the public. Seating first come, first serve.

ScienceOnTapTuesday (7/14) Science on Tap - Join the Kentucky Science Center for a series of discussions on science topics led by the area’s top scientists, leaders, and professionals. This month’s topic is Drug Resistant Bacteria with U of L (Dr. Yoder-Himes Lab). Location is Goodwood Brewing Co. Discussion starts at 7 pm. Event is 21+ and FREE.
