Now - Saturday (6/27) Resurfaced: Bourbon Edition - Resurfaced last chance to party at resurfaced which officially re-launched earlier this month with a series of bourbon-inspired events. Sadly the famous pop-up plaza will close its gates this Saturday, June 27, but there’s still time to get out there and enjoy it! Full event lineup and more info at resurfaced.org.

Wednesday (6/24) Waterfront Wednesday - FREE summer concerts presented by WFPK on the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Louisville Waterfront Park Big Four Lawn. Featured artists this month: Pokey LaFarge (9pm), Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn (7:30pm) and T. Hardy Morris (6pm). Music starts at 6 pm. The Big Four Lawn “opens” at 5pm, and the music begins at 6pm.

Thursday (6/25) Rye Back Porch Sessions - Due to the storms last week, RYE’s Back Porch Sessions was canceled, but lucky you it’s back this week! Grab a friend, a drink, and enjoy live local music this Thursday on the RYE’s back porch. Louisville talent includes Twin Limb Howell Dawdy and Cher Von. FREE to attend, but RSVP required. Music starts at 7 pm.

Friday (6/26) Kentucky Center Yoga Series - The fine folks at the Kentucky Center are hosting free yoga classes every Friday through August 28th from 12– 1 pm.  Bring your mat and water and meet at the Main Lobby by 11:50 for a class of yoga postures, flow, and deep relaxation. A perfect lunch time option for downtown workers.

Friday (6/26) FAT Friday Trolley Hop - Hop on down to Frankfort Avenue this Friday for food, drinks and good times. FREE event held on the last Friday of every month from 6:30 - 10 pm. Enjoy live music, entertainment and free trolley rides to shops, restaurants and galleries on Historic Frankfort Avenue.

Saturday (6/27) Downs After Dark Churchill Downs is throwing kickin’ night party with Stella Artois & Finlandia Vodka to celebrate the end of another fantastic spring racing season! Grab a cocktail, listen to live music, and watch racing under the lights from 6 - 11 pm. It’s the place to see and be seen, so dress to impress!

Saturday (6/27) DJ Jalin Roze X Grey, The Deloreans, Twin Sister Radio - As we said earlier Resurfaced is closing this weekend (was, wah), but not without a big bang. Don’t miss this end of season concert filled with lots of local talent including Jalin Roze, The Deloreans and Twin Sister Radio. And the best news…it’s all FREE!

Sunday (6/28) Kenny W Shepherd & Jonny Lang - Wrap up the weekend with the uber-talented blues guitarist and songwriter Kenny Shepherd and American blues, gospel, and rock singer Jonny Lang at the Kentucky Center. Tickets are still available and start at $35. Show starts at 7 pm.

Monday (6/29) Monday Night Movies: Back to the Future - It’s Monday, so you know what that means….summer movie night at Iroquois Amphitheater! Featured movie this week is the second installment of the Back to the Future trilogy, Back to the Future II!  Doors open at 7 pm, movie starts at 8 pm. FREE and open to the public. Seating first come, first serve.

Wednesday (7/8) New2Lou Cocktail Competition - Mark your calendars folks. We’re joining forces with FirstBuild and Maker’s Mark to host our first ever Cocktail Competition! Not only will you be tasting the finest cocktails in town, but you’ll be one of the first to test out FirstBuild’s brand new nugget ice maker, win-win. RSVP required. Suggested donation $10; proceeds to benefit local non-profit Apron.
