ResurfacedBourbonEditionNow - Saturday (6/27) Resurfaced: Bourbon Edition - Resurfaced officially re-launched earlier this month and continues the party with a series of bourbon-inspired events. Sadly the famous pop-up plaza will only be open for the limited time, through June 27, but there are a ton of great events on the lineup this month! More info at resurfaced.org.

KentuckianaPrideFestivalFriday (6/19) - Saturday (6/20) Kentuckiana Pride Festival - Join the two-day celebration with the LGBT community and its allies this weekend at the Belvedere in downtown Louisville. The festival kicks off with a parade down Main Street at 7 pm and will have a variety of food, entertainment, and showcases from local and regional businesses and organizations. General Admission is FREE on Friday at $5 on Saturday.

MaidenRadioFriday (6/19) Maiden Radio CD Release Party - Celebrate Maiden Radio’s new CD release Wolvering, a collaboration between Louisvillians Cheyenne Mize, Julia Purcell and Joan Shelley. Enjoy their traditional Kentucky and Appalachian music this Friday at 8 pm at the Clifton Center. Tickets are $10 and CDs will be available for purchase.

SoulFoodFestival_cropSaturday (6/20) Soul Food FestivalKinfolks Foundation, Inc./Destine to Succeed are fusing together soul food and soul music this Saturday at Louisville Waterfront Park. Headliners include Bobby Brown, Monica, Al B Sure, Eric Benet and Avery Sunshine. Tickets start at $35. Gate open at 3 pm, show starts at 5 pm.

LCFCSaturday (6/20) Louisville City FC - Cheer on our brand new Football Club team, the Louisville City FC, this Saturday against the New York Red Bulls at Louisville Slugger Field. Tickets start at $15 and the game starts at 7:30 pm. Don’t forget to suit up in team colors purple and gold and get ready for the purple smoke!

CDFamilyAdventureDaySunday (6/21) Family Adventure Day at the Downs - Celebrate Father’s Day at the track this Sunday! Churchill Downs is hosting a Family Adventure Day so not only can enjoy horse racing, but lots of fun family activities too. Tickets are $8 in advance online and $10 at the gate. Gates open at 11:30 am and the first post time is 12:45 pm.  Family activities close at approximately 5:00 pm.

Featured movie this week is the classic Alfred Hitchcock thriller The Birds.  Doors open at 7 pm, movie starts at 8 pm. FREE and open to the public. Seating first come, first serve.

BelaFleck_AbigailWashburnWednesday (6/24) Waterfront Wednesday - FREE summer concerts presented by WFPK on the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Louisville Waterfront Park Big Four Lawn. Featured artists this month: Pokey LaFarge (9pm), Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn (7:30pm) and T. Hardy Morris (6pm). Music starts at 6 pm. The Big Four Lawn “opens” at 5pm, and the music begins at 6pm.
