It’s Forecastle week, y’all. Our city will be filled with top musicians, festival foodies, music junkies, and hung over hipsters. And they’ll all be here in celebration of our locally grown, nationally recognized Forecastle Festival.  Never been to Forecastle?!? Prepare to have your mind blown. Speaking of preparation, we’ll be posting up tips from seasoned attendees to help you navigate the festival with breeze, stay tuned.

This month Dr. Jason Chesney will talk about one of the biggest breakthroughs in cancer treatment; immune therapies. #NerdsUniteOverBeer

OfficialForecastleKickOffThursday (7/16) The Official Forecastle Festival Kick-Off - Kick-off your Forecastle a little early at Against The Grain Brewery this Thursday! Local eats, treats, drinks, plus all GA & VIP weekend pass holders can pick up their wristbands early. Live music: Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds, Discount Guns, and Night Visions Radio. Early check-in starts at 5 pm; music starts at 7 pm.

RyeBackPorchSessionsThursday (7/16) Rye Back Porch SessionsRYE’s annual Back Porch Sessions summer music continues this Thursday! Grab a friend, a drink, and enjoy live music on RYE’s back porch.This month’s featured artists are Young Widows, Jonathan Glen Wood, and Cereal Glyphs. FREE to attend, but RSVP required. Music starts at 7 pm.

BellsBreweryBreakfastFriday (7/17) Bell’s Brewery Breakfast - Fill your belly with deliciousness crafted by Eggs over Baxter and Bell’s Brewery like Bell’s Oberon Beer Battered Chicken ‘n Waffles, Bells Oberon Pancakes, and more! Plus win pick up some Bell’s swag and thank the Bell’s crew in person for their fine brew. Breakfast served from 9 am to 12 pm.

Forecastle2015Friday (7/17)  - Sunday (7/19) Forecastle Festival - Three-day music, art, and environmental activism festival right here in our own backyard. ForecastleFortificationSaturday (7/18) Forecastle Fortification - Feed your belly before heading out to Forecastle Festival at Copper & Kings. The Pre-Festival Brunch runs from 10 am to 1 pm and includes: breakfast sandwiches from RYEButchertown SodasHeine Brothers’ Coffee, and live music from Jenna Dean & 1200. Tickets are $10. Cash Bar available with Classic C&K Brunch Cocktails.

AfterTheWaterfrontSunday (7/19) After The Waterfront - Forecastle weekend ends Sunday at 9 pm (sad face), BUT the fun doesn’t have to. Here’s another after party to add to your hit list. Keep the weekend and music going at Haymarket Whiskey Bar with Torche, Anwar Sadat, and Jaye Jayle! 21+ show. Doors open at 8:30 pm. Tickets are $10.

BestOfLouisvilleThursday (7/30) Best of Louisville - Early notice, but you don’t want to miss this par-tay, seriously. Enjoy the BEST food and booze from the winners of Louisville Magazine‘s Best of Louisville awards. Plus giveaways, silent auction and dancing at Play Dance Bar! Party starts at 6 pm. Tickets are $30.
