Prince, RuPaul, and St Patty’s Day!

Anyone else notice the large amounts of rain lately? That can only mean one of two things, either His Royal Highness Prince Charles is sending his London fog in anticipation of his next weeks visit, or Prince (the Musician) is sending his Purple Rain to dowse fans before his big show this weekend. Either way, we’re totally in!

Speaking of in, what else is on the radar? Prince, RuPaul and St. Patty’s Day! We’ve handpicked the best events this week, so wether you’re New2Lou or Louisville Lifers, there’s a little something going on for everyone this week. Wednesday (3/11) New2Lou 2nd Wed Social: O’Shea’s Irish Pub 5:30-8:30 pm - With St. Patty’s day creeping up on us, it’s never too early to start brushing up on your drinking skills. Lucky for you this week’s social will be at O’Shea’s Irish Pub, packed with the city’s hippest newbies, live Irish music, and more than enough guinness to get your St. Patty’s pre game on. RSVP ASAP and may the Luck of the Irish ever be in your favor.

Thursday (3/12) Disney’s The Lion King: Kentucky Center 7:30 pm “BAAAAAAAHHH, SOWHENYAAAAH, MAMABEATSABABAHH” Oh please, don’t act like you don’t catch yourself singing this song in the shower!  Now here’s your chance to catch the Lion King on Broadway, right here in Louisville. When The New York Times says “There’s simply nothing else like it,” it’s probably something you need to check out!

Friday (3/13) - RuPaul’s Drag RaceHeadliners Music Hall 10:00 pm -Experience your favorite guilty pleasure TV show in person this Friday night! Join the ladies from RuPaul’s Drag Race in the flesh at Headliners Music Hall. The best part is that the after party, hosted by Play Louisville, will be free of charge to everyone with a ticket stub! Do yourself a favor, and go get in touch with your inner Diva!

Saturday (3/14) - Walk MS Kick Off and Donut Challenge: Play Louisville 9:00 am - Did you say Krispy Kremes? And building things with Krispy Kremes? All this while giving back to a fantastic cause? This Saturday, The National Multiple sclerosis will kick off it’s MS Walk sign up and Donut build. Did we mention it includes a free pancake breakfast and coffee? What’s there to think about? We’ll see you there!

Saturday (3/14)-  Sunday (3/15) - Prince and 3rdEYEGIRLThe Lousiville Palace 8:00 & 11:00 pm - Hopefully you were one the lucky folks to snag tickets for this show, actually 2 shows on 2 days, which sold out in like 4 minutes. Crazy, right?!? Oh and speaking of Prince…His Royal Highness Price Charles will be here next week! And we’re so ecstatic to help welcome him to Louisville!

Saturday (3/14) - Sunday (3/15) Flea off Market: 11:00 am - 6:00 pm - Spring time is just around the corner and what better way to celebrate than at Flea Off Market! What’s Flea Off Market? An outdoor bazaar  in Nulu, on Baxter between Market and Jefferson Street. Over 100 local vendors, food trucks, drinks, entertainment and more!

Tuesday (3/17) HoundMouth: Guestroom Records and the Silver Dollar 4:00 pm -7:00 pm - HoundMouth was named a “Spotify Rising Stars 2015” pick. Celebrate their new record release with a listening party at Guestroom Records at 4 pm followed by a happy hour at the Silver Dollar!
