Wednesday (8/16) Beer & Gypsy Jazz – Join Goodwood Brewing tonight for an evening of outstanding local gypsy jazz musicians, great local beer, food from Pho Ba Luu, and craft cocktails in their cozy NuLu taproom. Music starts at 7:00 PM, followed by an open jazz jam. FREE to attend and plan to get there early. Seating available on a first come, first serve basis.
Thursday (8/17) Louisville Distilled Launch Party – Louisville Distilled is rolling out a sweet new site this week and inviting you to join the party! Celebrate their relaunch and brand reveal this Thursday at Galaxie Bar in NuLu. Meet the Louisville Distilled folks (and some new ones) PLUS enjoy music by Sam Sneed. Free to attend. Thursday (8/17) Rye Back Porch Sessions – Rye on Market is hosting another Back Porch Session this Thursday on their “back porch”. Grab a friend, a drink, and enjoy live music in NuLu. This month’s featured artist is Small Time Napoleon. FREE and open to the public. Music starts at 7 PM. Proceeds from the evenings sales will benefit Girls Rock Louisville.
Thursday (8/17) – Sunday (8/27) Kentucky State Fair – Folks come from all over the region to showcase the best of the best: animals, dance, food, you name it. PLUS music concerts: I Love the 90s Tour, Alabama, Travis Tritt and the Charlie Daniels Band. Tickets are $7 in advance are $7; $10 at the gate. New this year: FAIRenheit 17: Mini Music Festival on August 24th.
Friday (8/18) – Saturday (8/19) Seven Sense Fest – An annual festival featuring over 50 local, regional and national acts, local food trucks, top shelf spirits and cocktails, craft breweries, and arts & craft vendors. Tickets start at $15. Proceeds benefits the Boys & Girls Haven and Musician’s Emergency Resource Foundation. Congrats to our ticket winner David. Enjoy the festival!
Saturday (8/19) Moon Taxi, The Weeks, Los Colognes – You don’t want to miss this show. Moon Taxi, The Weeks and Los Colognes will be at Iroquois Amphitheater this Saturday!
