Wednesday (10/11) New2Lou Halloween Social – Join us for our Halloween social next Wednesday at the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum in historic Old Louisville! Never been? Then you’re in for a treat! We’ll have new folks to mingle with, a super cool space to explore, and spirits for consumption. Plus our friends at Conrad-Caldwell and AMP Apartments will be bringing some swag. Event is FREE w/ RSVP. Party starts at 5:30 PM.

Wednesday (10/11) Toadies – After the New2Lou Halloween Social at Conrad-Caldwell House Museum grab your new BFF and head to Mercury Ballroom for the official after party. The Toadies, American rock band from Fort Worth, TX, best known for the song Possum Kingdom. We’ve got a sweet deal for you –> Mention New2Lou for a special discounted $15 ticket. Music starts at 9:00 PM.

Jack-o-Lantern-SpectacularThursday (10/12) – Sunday (11/5) Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular – It’s Halloween season! Celebrate by heading to Iroquois Park to check out over 5,000 professionally carved jack-o-lanterns lining a ¼-mile walking trail through the woods. Pumpkins are illuminated at night as an “art show” daily from dusk to 11 PM. during the week (Sunday-Thursday) and midnight on Friday & Saturday. Tickets start at $12 for adults, $9 for kids.

Friday (10/13) You’re the Wurst Too Sausage Party – Get your buns over to Copper & Kings for a second helping of You’re The Wurst, an Oktoberfest-style party featuring handmade sausages inspired by the flavors of Germany. Enjoy sausages, Marzen/Oktoberfest style beer brewed by Monnik Beer Co, plus brandy, beer cocktails and beats! Tickets are $10 (includes first drink) or $30 (includes first drink + food). 21+ event.

Friday (10/13) – Sunday (10/15) Startup Weekend Louisville – Bring your ideas, skills & determination and see how far you can make it in 54 hours! Startup Weekend brings together designers, programmers, hustlers & anyone else wanting to take their idea to the next level. Learn shortcuts to determine pricing, find early stage adopters and make key connections. Registration starts at $65. Demo Day tickets are $5.

Saturday (10/14) Louisville City FC – Sadly this the last game of the season, but even more reason to head out to Louisville Slugger Field this Saturday! Saturday (10/14) Josh Turner – Early notice, but we certainly don’t want you to miss out on this awesome show! Josh Turner, American country singer and actor based out of Nashville, is coming to the Louisville Palace next Saturday. Show starts at 8:00 PM. Tickets start at $25. Want to go? Sunday (10/15) Louisville Palace Halloween Movie Series – The Louisville Palace Halloween Movie Series continues this Sunday with Hocus Pocus, the 90s comedy fantasy film starring Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker. Movie starts at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $8. The movie series continues every Sunday through the month of October. Next on the lineup is The Haunted Mansion on October 22nd.

Monday (10/16) Katy Perry – American singer-songwriter and pop icon Katy Perry is out on her Witness World Tour and making a pit stop at the KFC Yum! Center next Monday night, no biggie. She’s also bringing Noah Cyrus, actress/singer from the 2009 animated film Ponyo – also Miley’s little sis. Tickets are still available and start at $49.50. Show starts at 7:00 PM.

Thursday (10/19) Rye Back Porch Sessions – Mark your calendars for the last RYE on Market’s Back Porch Session of the season next Thursday night. Grab a friend, a drink, and enjoy live music on RYE’s back porch in NuLu.This month’s featured artists are James Lindsey and JP Source. FREE to attend. Food & Drinks start at 5:00 PM, music starts at 7:00 PM. Non-Profit beneficiary is the Louisville Orchestra.
