Thursday (3/14) Salsa Thursdays – Love to dance or want to learn? Then this is a must do. Every Thursday Cosa Seria, local Latin band, hosts Salsa Thursdays at Skybar in St. Matthews at 8:30 pm. Dance lessons by Gabe Scott, great music and fun crowd. Admission $7. Admission + Class $10.
Thursday (3/14) Ruby Tuesday Give Back Community Program – Eat at Ruby Tuesday on any Thursday this month and they’ll donate 20% to the Forecastle Foundation – An awesome non-profit focused on global & local environmental education and protecting the world’s most threatened, biodiversity hot spots. Friday (3/15) Gnit – Opening night of Gnit at Actors Theater of Louisville. Watch closely as Peter Gnit, a funny-enough but so-so specimen of humanity, makes a lifetime of bad decisions, on the search for his True Self, which is disintegrating while he searches. Saturday (3/16) Pitch with Sassmouth – PITCH welcomes techno performer, globe trotting DJ/Producer and Smartbar Resident Sassmouth to Louisville, Haymarket Whiskey Bar to be exact. Techno in Louisville? Yep, and you can thank PITCH for bringing it to you. $5 cover, 21+ Music starts at 10 pm.
Sunday (3/17) New Albanian Brunch – Nursing a hangover or just love a good Bloody Mary? Check out the New Albanian Brew House Sunday brunch menu. We promise you won’t be disappointed. They offer a “build your own bloody mary” bar, “build your own omelette” bar and prime rib for the meat-lovers. And it’s across the bridge so you don’t have to wait until 1 pm to consume an adult beverage.
Sunday (3/17) St Patrick’s Day – Celebrate St Patrick’s Day at a local Irish favorite, the Irish Rover, on historic Frankfort Avenue. An entire day filled with live music, entertainment, eating, drinking and lots of fun! $5 cover, kids 12 and under are free. The tent opens at 11 am and because we are in KY, you’ll have to wait until 1 pm to purchase your Irish drink of choice.
