We were super excited to partner with Hawthorn Beverage Group to host our first Bourbon education class in January, but weren’t sure if folks would think it was as cool as we did. To our surprise, it was an immediate hit; selling out in only a couple days! Turns out people in Louisville, even if they’re not originally from here, really do have an interest in bourbon. As we’ve said before, now that you live here in Bourbon Country it’s the duty, right? And pairing bourbon education with cool new folks in the trendy whiskey bar was a winning combination. The response has been huge, so big that we’ve now sold out three Bourbon 101 classes at 60 attendees each. So thanks to our amazing teacher Josh Durr from Hawthorn Beverage Group, 180 folks can now talk bourbon and appreciate it like a true Kentuckian.
This got us thinking, what if we created an entire bourbon education series? We could continue the education with cocktails and hands-on learning with real distillery equipment. And that’s how it all happened, thanks to you, the bourbon enthusiast. We are so excited and proud to announce the launch of our Bourbon Series 101, 102, and 103 and our partnership with the Silver Dollar and Moonshine University. At the end of the series you will have some serious street cred when it comes to bourbon and an awesome t-shirt designed by Bourbon Built to prove it.
