Wednesday (8/17) Beach House, with Entrance - We are soooooo excited to see one of our fav artists Beach House in one of our fav local music venues Headliners Music Hall next Wednesday! Last time we saw them was a Forecastle a few years back and they killed it. So we sure they’ll kill it again. Hopefully you already have your tickets, because the show is sold out. Door open at 7 PM, show starts at 8 PM.

Thursday (8/18) Rye Back Porch Sessions - Mark your calendar for RYE on Market’s Back Porch Sessions summer music next Thursday! Grab a friend, a drink, and enjoy live music on RYE’s back porch in NuLu.This month’s featured artists are Quiet Hollers, New Bravado, and Joann + the Dakota. FREE to attend, but RSVP required. Music starts at 7 pm.

Thursday (8/18) - Sunday (8/28) Kentucky State Fair - Folks come to town from all over the region to showcase the best of the best: animals, dance, food, you name it. Enjoy great people watching and music concerts including Reba McEntire, Jeff Dunham, Chris Young and Brett EldredgeTickets in advance are $6; admission at the gate is $10. Kids 5 and under are free.

Friday (8/19) Mapped Out: A MAP Kick Off PartyLouisville Visual Art, Center for Neighborhoods and Louisville Metro Government announce Louisville’s first ever city wide mural initiative: MAP! Join them this Friday as local artists live-paint 8ft x 8ft murals, enjoy food, drink, and a silent auction of the art you saw created! Party starts at Garage Bar at 6 pm.

Saturday (8/20) Taste of South Louisville - Come to share in some fantastic, diverse food and enjoying time with friends this Saturday at Churchill Downs. Enjoy food from South Louisville restaurants and businesses, door prizes and a large Silent Auction! Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Please bring canned goods to event to help neighbors in crisis.

Sunday (8/21) Louisville Bats - Take me out to the ball game and root, root, root for the home team! A Louisville Bats game is the perfect way to wrap up the weekend. Grab a friend and watch the bats square off against the Indianapolis Indians at Louisville Slugger Field! The game starts at 2:05 pm and tickets start at $12.

Saturday (8/27) Red Bull Flugtag - For 25 years, Red Bull Flugtag has been making a big splash across the globe, and this year they are touching down right here in Louisville! Red Bull Flugtag, or “Flying Day,” challenges those bold, brash, and crazy enough to launch human-powered flying machines off a 30-foot ramp into the Ohio River. Come watch all the action on the waterfront for FREE!
