We know this is super short notice BUT totally worthy of some New2Lou love. The Louisville Downtown Partnership (LDP), or better know on Facebook as Downtown Lou , is launching a lunchtime concert series starting TODAY and it is 100% free. What? Free live music while you enjoy being outside on your lunch break? How cool is that? So now when your co-workers ask- Hey what are we doing for lunch today? You have the perfect answer.
This weeks featured local musician Lewis Mathis.
PB & Jams will be going on every Wednesday in September and will feature a different local artist for each performance. You can catch the show on 4th Street between Jefferson and Market from 11:30-1 pm. Check out the website or Downtown Lou Facebook page to find out who will be playing each week.
So who is going to join us? And don’t forget to BYO PP&J (*WINK*)
And if you needed ONE more super cool thing that the LDP is doing, check out the Free Downtown Film Series on The KFC Yum! Center Plaza while you are on their Facebook page. It also starts this week on Thursday evening at 7:30 pm. Word on the street is this week’s movie will be the Sandlot. So grab your friend, a chair and some cash for beverages.
From the LDP press release:
The series will feature five sports themed movies and attendees are invited to bring their own seating.
Outside alcohol is prohibited. No coolers, no glass or pets are allowed in the event area. Beer and other refreshments will be available for purchase during the event.
