Friday (7/24) Kentucky Center Yoga Series - The fine folks at the Kentucky Center are hosting free yoga classes every Friday through August 28th from 12– 1 pm. Bring your mat and water and meet at the Main Lobby by 11:50 for a class of yoga postures, flow, and deep relaxation. A perfect lunch time option for downtown workers.
Friday (7/24) - Sunday (7/26) Kentucky Music Weekend - For the 40th consecutive year, this unique folk festival brings together the finest folk musicians and Kentucky traditions to Iroquois Amphitheater. And it was voted one of top folk festivals in the country. Daytime activities include crafts, food and workshops. Evening concerts $10 suggested donation.
Friday (7/24) - Saturday (7/25) Louisville Psych Fest - 2 nights, 10 bands, one helluva trip. This all goes down at Headliners Music Hall. Single day passes are $6 in advance, $8 at the door. Saturday (7/25) Whisker Mania - first charity facial hair competition in Louisville history presented by the Derby City Whisker Club. Unmovable beards and unstoppable mustaches from all over the city, state, region, country and world will be judged. Sign up to compete or simply watch the fun. Tickets are $10 and proceeds will be donated to Active Heroes.
Sunday (7/26) Picnic and Kite Flying - Slow Down, Sit Back, and Listen with Classical 90.5 on the Big Four Lawn from 5 pm to 9 pm. Watch the sunset, bring a picnic, and fly a kite to the soundtrack of nature-inspired compositions. Don’t have a kite? Make one at the Classical 90.5 kite building tent! FREE and open to the public.
