Thursday (10/15) - Saturday (10/17) Resurfaced - Good news folks! Resurfaced is re-launching this Thursday (10/15) at a brand new location on 10th street. Sadly the famous pop-up plaza will only be open for the limited time, through Saturday (10/17). But they’ve packed a ton of events in this short 3-day period. Full list of events at resurfaced.org.
Thursday (10/15) - Sunday (10/18) Victorian Tales of Terror - Tis the season of ghosts, goblins and ghouls. And Old Louisville is inviting you to get your scare on in their historic Victorian neighborhood. Tour the neighborhood, learn about ghostly stories, and perhaps meets a few Victorian ghosts and ghouls. Tours are every 15 mins between 7 and 9 pm and tickets are $20.
Thursday (10/15) - Sunday (10/31) Evil Dead: The Musical - This looks like all kinds of awesome, seriously. There is a huge cult following for Evil Dead and the Alley Theater is twisting it up by adding a musical component. Tickets are $20, unless you are brave enough to sit in the “splaterzone” for $30. But be warned splaterzone folks, you will get “very bloody”.
Friday (10/16) Highlands Louisville Halloween Parade - Kick off the Halloween season a little early at the Highlands Halloween Parade (formerly the Caufield’s Halloween Parade) this Friday! Parade starts at the intersection of Baxter and Broadway and ends at the intersection of Bardstown Road and Grinstead Drive. FREE and open to the public.
Saturday (10/17) Fleur de Flea Vintage Urban Market - What the Flea?!? Urban flea market/marketplace this weekend at Waterfront Park! Local vendors selling all kinds of sweet goods like books, records, vintage and repurposed items, antiques, and more! And you can get your grub on too with local food trucks. Saturday (10/17) 2nd Annual Fried Chicken Throw Down - Who doesn’t love a good ole throw down, right? And the host Slow Food Bluegrass is keeping true to their KY roots by featuring Fried Chicken, of course. The Colonel would be proud. Admission is FREE. Tastes are $3 for chicken and $2 for sides. Party starts at 5 pm. Location: Resurfaced on 10th Street.
Sunday (10/18) CycLOUvia - CycLOU what?!? CyLOUvia is part of a growing open streets movement where cars are temporarily removed from the city’s streets and the community is invited in to “play” in the streets. Bring your bike, skateboard, walking legs, pets and join in the car-free fun on Bardstown Road this Sunday from 2 to 6 pm.
