Now that the Thanksgiving leftovers are gone, it’s time to start focusing on the holidays!  And it looks like folks in the city are on board and offering a ton of holiday inspired events, from Miracle on Fourth Street to holiday tours and bazaars.  Everything you need to get the perfect gift for that someone special.

DineOutLouisvilleWednesday (12/4) Dine Out For Life - Dine out at a participating restaurant and 25% or more of your bill will be donated to House of Ruth, who’s mission is to care for individuals and families affected by HIV and AIDS in our community.  Lots of amazing participating restaurants to choose from and a perfect excuse to dine out for a great cause.

LouisvilleMagLaunchPartyWednesday (12/4) Louisville Magazine Dec Launch Party  - Join Louisville Magazine as they celebrate the launch of the December Basketball/Music issue at the St. Matthews Catering and Event Space (next to the St. Matthews Target). Complimentary appetizers, drink specials and a free copy of the December issue.

RepealDayThursday (12/5) Repeal Day Celebration - Celebrate the repeal of Prohibition with the fine folks at Proof on Main or the Silver Dollar. Grab your friends, dress in your finest Prohibition-era gear and enjoy a few classic, speakeasy cocktails from some of the best bartenders in the city.

MiracleOnFourthStreetFriday (12/6) First Friday Trolley Hop - free event on the first Friday of every month at the shops, restaurants and galleries in historic West Main district and trendy NuLu District.  This month enjoy a special holiday treat, Miracle on Fourth thanks to the SoFo (the South Fourth District) businesses.

FleaOffMarketHolidayBazaarSaturday (12/7) - Sunday (12/8) Flea Off Market Holiday Bazaar - Flea Off Market is bringing the market indoors this month.  Local vendors, food trucks, live music, hot toddies, eggnog, gluhwein, local craft beer and free s’mores at the Mellwood Art Center! Event is free and open to the public. Hours are 11 am to 6 pm.

BardstownRoadAglowSaturday (12/7) Four Roses Bourbon Bardstown Road Aglow - Join the Highland Commerce Guild for their annual Highlands Holiday “Open House” celebration on Saturday (12/7) from dusk until 10 pm. Boutiques, eateries, and businesses all along Bardstown Road (and surrounding roads) open their doors offering entertainment, food, drink, discounts, live entertainment, and more.

OldLouHolidayHomeTourSaturday (12/7) - Sunday (12/8) Old Louisville Holiday Home Tour - Explore the country’s most extensive collection of Victorian mansions and picturesque homes at the 37th Annual Old Louisville Holiday Home Tour in historic Old Louisville. Noon - 6 pm both days. Tickets are $25 in advance and available online or by calling 502-635-5244.

HolidaysAroundThe WorldNow - Sunday (1/5) Holidays Around the World - annual, multi-cultural tree display at the Frazier History Museum celebrating holiday traditions throughout Louisville’s diverse communities.  Exhibit admittance is included in the Frazier’s regular admission price.

NutcrackerSaturday (12/7) - Sunday (12/22) Brown-Forman Nutcracker - catch the wonderful holiday tradition, the Nutcracker, performed by the Louisville Ballet at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts this holiday season.  The show runs December 7th through the 22nd. Tickets start at $30.

New2Lou_logo_WEBWednesday (12/11) New2Lou 2nd Wed Social - Mark your calendars for our our December 2nd Wed social at Hillbilly Tea from 5:30 - 8:30 pm! There will be drinks, food and awesome new folks! And it also happens to be our b-day so come celebrate with us!  Free and open to the public, even if you are “Old2Lou”. RSVP today!
