Fall has finally arrived and we couldn’t be more excited about it! Pumpkins, butternut squash, and bourbon of course! There is no better place to be that right here, right now as the weather cools and the leaves change. And there is plenty of great events to welcome in the new season.

WaterfrontYogaThursday (9/25) Yoga on the Waterfront - Get your Yoga on at Louisville Waterfront Park this Thursday (and every Thursday through October 30th) at 6:30 pm thanks to the fine folks at Shine. Experience a great Vinyasa Flow as the Ohio River flows by! Bring your mat and meet at the Lincoln Memorial. Suggested donation $5-10.

TheHeadAndTheHeartThursday (9/25) The Head and the Heart - Indie folk band The Head and the Heart are coming to Louisville! And the show happens to be in the best outdoor venue in town, Iroquois Amphitheater, a perfect way to spend a fall evening. Doors open at 6:30 pm and show starts at 8 pm. Tickets are $30 and still available. Seating is first come, first serve, so get there early.

ReSurfacedImageThursday (9/25) - Sunday (9/28) Resurfaced - So you’ve been to the brand new pop-up plaza right? If not, you need to get on it. There are a ton of events going on this weekend and we certainly don’t want you to miss out. A ton of variety too, Yoga, Live Music, Poetry, you name it. And there’s beer, coffee and food trucks.  Nuff said.

RockyHorrorFriday (9/26) - Sunday (10/5) Rocky Horror Show - Acting Against Cancer is kicking off their first show of its 2014 - 2015 season with the musical comedy horror film Rocky Horror Show at the Bunbury Theater. 100% of the profits of will be used to fund and sustain the Art Therapy program of the pediatric oncology unit at Kosair Children’s Hospital. Tickets are $19.

NuLuFestSaturday (9/27) NuLu Festival - NuLu is closing down 2 blocks of East Market for a big ‘ole block party!  Local food, craft beer, awesome vendors (like us!), and live music on the big stage. LMMFSaturday (9/27) Louisville Mini MakerFaire -Makers from around the region will be on East Market in conjunction with NuLu Festival this Saturday from 10 am to 10 pm! Interactive demonstrations, hands-on participation, and education for fair goers of all ages. And the world’s first 3D-printed car, the Strati, will be there too. Super cool, right?

RyeBackPorchSessionsSaturday (9/27) Rye Back Porch Sessions - Final concert of the season on the back porch of Rye and they’re mixin it up a bit in celebration of NuLu Festival. Good news for you? They’ll be playing great live music throughout the day including co-headliners Cincinnati’s psych-twang juggernaut Wussy and glimmering indie-rock of Brooklyn’s Landlady. Music starts at 12 pm and runs until 10 pm.

LouisvilleMusicAwards2Sunday (9/28) Louisville Music Awards - 2nd Annual Louisville Music Awards are this Sunday at Headliners Music Hall. And it’s a great way to introduce yourself to our amazing local music scene. Grab a drink, catch live music, and mingle with the who’s who in the music business. Tickets are $10. Doors open at 6 pm, show starts at 7 pm.

IdeaFestival2014September 30- October 3 IdeaFestival - Mark your calendars for Idea Festival, a 3-day event at the Kentucky Center celebrating innovation, imagination and world-changing ideas. IF_FilmSeptember 30 - October 4 IF Film - A total of 7 features and 6 short films will screen over five days as a part of IdeaFestival 2014Festival activities include film screenings, Q&A’s with filmmakers and actors, live music, and a filmmaker reception. General admission tickets are $12, festival passes are $90. Discounts available for Louisville Film Society members and Idea Festival pass holders.

LittleDragonThursday (10/16) Little Dragon - Super early notice, but this show is gonna rock it. Tickets are selling fast and we don’t want you to miss out. Mark your calendars for October 16th at the Mercury Ballroom and don’t forget to snag your tickets ASAP. We’ll see you there!
