This show promises to be out of this world, seriously, it’s in Outerspace (the back room behind the Green Building and Galaxie). FREE with RSVP!

Enjoy food, drinks and entertainment at the beautiful art deco space of The Gillespie. And the best part is that it’s FREE to attend and take part in. This event is 21+.

LouisvilleUncorkedThursday (10/22) Louisville Uncorked - Fall 2015 - wine tasting event to raise money for local non-profit Fund for the Arts. Each guest is asked to register at the Louisville Uncorked website as a team of up to three people. Each team is asked to bring three of the same bottle of wine matching the theme “Chardonnay”. Party starts at 7 PM at Glassworks.

Friday (10/23) - Saturday (10/24) Eroica: The Louisville Orchestra - This weekend Teddy Abrams (new Louisville Orchestra director and New2Lou too) is premiering a collaborative work that incorporates folk, rock and hip-hop featuring local artists Will Oldham, Jalin Roze, Dani Markham and Scott Moore. Tickets start at $20. Show starts at 11 am on Friday, 8 pm on Saturday.

FleaOffMarketSaturday (10/24) Highland Fall Flea - The fine folks at Flea Off Market are taking the party to the Original Highlands/Germantown neighborhood. The event will feature over 100 vendors, food trucks, local craft beer and seasonal cocktails, great live music, a performance by Squallis Puppeteers, and kid activities. 12 PM -8 PM at the Highlands Community Campus. FREE to attend.

BardstownBoundBooFestSaturday (10/24) Bardstown Bound BooFest - one of Louisville’s longest running events celebrating the Highlands and Halloween. The event incorporates the most exciting dining and drinking options while adding trick or treating the Highlands streets. Restaurants, bars and stores OPEN their doors and invite everyone to Trick or Treat and Shop, Eat, Drink from Noon to the “witching hour”! FREE to attend.

GarageBarPumpkinsSunday (10/25) Pumpkin Carving Contest - Get your brunch and pumpkin carving on this Sunday at Garage Bar. Two contests available: one for ages under 13 and one for ages 13 and older. Winners get a $50 gift card to Caufield’s Novelty! Cost is $4 per pumpkin (free for Big Brothers Big Sisters). Why not show off your skills next Tuesday at Headliners Music Hall.  Place your name in the hat between 6 and 8 PM, storytellers randomly are selected to present and audience judges will decide your fate. This month’s theme is GUTS. Tickets are $8.
