Wednesday (2/17) Cedric Burnside Project, The Ass Haulers - It may be cold, but this show at The New Vintage tonight will be hot, hot, hot. The Cedric Burnside Project is a fusion of Mississippi Hill Country Blues, Funk, R&B and soul that will keep your foot stomping all night long! And the Ass Haulers, well what can we say, their primal rhythms meet southern rock kicks ass. Doors open at 8 pm, show starts at 9 pm. Tickets are $10.

Thursday (2/18) New2Lou Basketball Social - Join us at our New2Lou Basketball Social this Thursday at THE KFC Yum! Center! Thanks to University of Louisville Athletics, we’ll have an awesome space to socialize, drink specials, a DJ, meet and greet with Coach Walz AND cheer on the women’s basketball team! This VIP experience is FREE w/ RSVP, but space is limited, so get on it!

Thursday (2/18) - Sunday (2/21) Show Boat: Kern & Hammerstein II - New2Opera? Join the Kentucky Opera this weekend at the Brown Theatre. Show Boat promises to be a great show and pricing is super affordable. Pair it up with some apps and drinks at Marketplace Theatre for the perfect date (or girls) night out. Friday (2/19) Blake Shelton “Live in Concert” with Special Guest Chris Janson - Country music superstar Blake Shelton, the reigning five-time Country Music Association Male Vocalist of the Year and coach of NBC’s hit show “The Voice,” is coming to the KFC Yum! Center! RYTHGFT start at $29.95. Show starts at 7:30 pm. FREE parking at any PARC garage is you bring a donation one or more personal items to donate to U.S. troops.

Saturday (2/20) Talespin Ale Fest - Sample over 150 brews from over 50 breweries this Thursday at a WWII era hanger at Bowman Field. And enjoy a special Kentucky Heritage section of local Kentucky brews. Hopefully you already have your tix, because it looks like this fest is sold out. Sunday (2/21) - Tuesday (3/1) Jewish Film Festival - Jewish Film Fest continues this week with Rock in the Red Zone at Village 8 Theatres at 11:30 am and The Dove Flyer on Sunday at 3 pm at Congregation Adath Jeshurun, 2401 Woodbourne Ave. Tickets are $8.50 in advance, $10 at door, $6 students. The festival continues through Tuesday (3/1) and upcoming films are The Fire BirdFarewell Party, and Run Boy Run.

Monday (2/22) Taste of 502 - The official kick-off to 502 Restaurant Week which runs February 24th through March 9th. Catch a sneak peek (and taste) of the top Louisville restaurants participating this year at 6:00 pm at The Olmsted. Tickets are still available. General Admission is $45, VIP $65. And your ticket also gives you a free ticket for a tour of the Maker’s Mark Distillery in Loretto, Kentucky. Win-Win.

Monday (2/22) Dark Star Orchestra - After getting your taste on at Taste of 502, head over to Mercury Ballroom for a sweet Grateful Dead concert.
