Now - Sunday (1/10) Kentucky Shakespeare’s Production of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night - Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night is a comedy of gender confusion, in which a girl disguises herself as a man to be near the count she adores, only to be pursued by the woman he loves. The Kentucky Shakespeare production runs through Sunday (1/10) at the Kentucky Center. Tickets are $20. Nightly showings and weekend matinees available.
Thursday (1/7) The Mayor’s Music and Art Series - free monthly series showcasing local musicians, artists and performers at Mayor’s Gallery at historic Louisville Metro Hall. This month will showcase the Quiet Hollers. Event is free and open to the public. Bring your lunch and enjoy live music during your lunch hour.
Friday (1/8) 7th Annual Jam for a Cure - Grab a friend and enjoy a fun filled evening full of great music at Headliners Music Hall. Lineup includes with Greg Foresman, Danny Flanigan, and John Mann with a special tribute to Tim Krekel. Show starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10. All proceeds go to benefit the National MS Society. So you can have fun while giving back to the community, win-win.
Saturday (1/9) 91.9 WFPK 20th Anniversary Celebration Louisville All Star Jam - 91.9 WFPK is turning 20 and you’re invited to the party🎉 And how else would they celebrate their b-day than with a kick ass All Star Jam! All stars include: Ben Sollee, Wax Fang, Twin Limb, Howell Dawdy and members of Houndmouth. Party start at 8 pm, doors open at 7 pm. Tickets are $25.
Saturday (1/9) 23rd Annual Cabo Wabo Winter Coat Party - 23rd annual Cabo Wabo Winter Coat Party is this Saturday at Mellwood Art Center. Finger foods, whiskey (vodka and tequila too), musical entertainment. Bring a new or gently used coat to donate to St. Vincent de Paul. Cash donation at the door of $15. Proceeds benefit Uspiritus.
Sunday (1/10) Modern Louisville January/February Issue Launch Party - Get over your post Holiday Season blues with Modern Louisville as they celebrate the launch of their latest issue! Party runs from 2-4 pm at Mercury Ballroom. Admission is FREE. Enjoy Light Hors d’oeuvres and a special preview of American Idiot presented by Acting Against Cancer.
